End Polio Now Campaign
Brad Gamble, Committee Chair of District 5495 End Polio Now Campaign, spoke to GYPC Rotary on October 28 th . Brad shared that Rotary International’s campaign. Through End Polio Now, there are only 2 countries where cases of Polio has been identified: Pakistan and Afghanistan.
While RI is making progress to identify cases in these countries, high mobility of families and distrust between governments are two major challenges to overcome. Brad reminded us of the importance to give to the Rotary International Polio Plus fund.
Once RI has met our $50 million goal, the Gates Foundation matches our total two to one. Mr. Gamble congratulated Goodyear PebbleCreek Rotary on working with our members and with our Interact Clubs Purple Pinky) to continue to raise awareness for this important cause.
