The Hilltop's freshman student Kaiya Walker has been selected the October 2026 Student of the Month for Outstanding Achievement in Innovation.

Kaiya is a pivotal member of The Hilltop AI Navigators, consistently demonstrating exceptional leadership, creativity, collaboration, and innovative thinking. Each week, Kaiya contributes valuable insights to her team by sharing her personal experiences with artificial intelligence while actively collecting and analyzing data about AI usage and perceptions among her peers.
Kaiya demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills through her ability to systematically collect, organize, and interpret research data. Her commitment to understanding the perspectives of her classmates and school staff has helped inform the team's approach to developing a meaningful student-led action project designed to positively impact the school community.
