Millennium High School sophomore Max Murphy has been selected the October 2026 Student of the Month for Outstanding Achievement in Innovation.
Max was nominated by his teacher Mr. Kip Nettles who shared this narrative:
Max is incredibly innovative. He designs and builds roller coasters and battle bots for fun. In Robotics Club, he regularly comes up with innovative solutions to problems with our robot or the club in general. As Vice President and mechanical lead he is deep in decision making and I can rely on his thorough analysis and unique problem solving. For example, over the summer in robotics Max designed and built a swerve drive, a new drive design that the club has chosen to adopt this year.
